All of our Tennessee rafting trips include an experienced guide to keep your adventure safe and enjoyable. Tennessee white water rafting is something the whole family can enjoy.
Bring a change of clothes and a towel.
Everyone must wear secure fitting shoes. No Flip-flops or bare feet.
Remember, rafting is not available in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. You will need to check in at the Hartford Outpost by the river in Hartford, TN one hour prior to your trip time.

During the spring the Pigeon River flows at varying levels, we are unable to predict the amount of water that will be realeased until the day of the trip. We adjust the trip format to maximize the quality of the trip. Depending on water levels, the trip will consist of class 3 and 4 rapids or class 2 and 3 rapids.

Lower Pigeon River Rafting (Class I & II)
Rafting on the lower Pigeon River is perfect for the little kids. It's a 5 1/2 mile trip through the scenic Pigeon River gorge. This adventure begins at the outpost and ends at the Denton Bridge. From there we bus you back up to the outpost. During your Pigeon River rafting trip you will run about 50 class 1 and 2 rapids with one class 3 at the end. Water fights and splashing is very popular on the lower Pigeon River. The kids absolutely love it, along with mom and dad. So if you're looking for something with a little less speed, this rafting trip on the Pigeon River is for you.

Hike and Raft Package
A two hour hike, starting at 9:00am, into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The hike will take you along Big Creek, a beautiful mountain stream. Your guide will be able to point out historic points of interest and local plants and wildlife. A river side lunch will be served after the hike.
After lunch, experience white water rafting in Tennessee and romp through class 3 to 4 rapids where you'll be assured of an exciting adventure! All of our Tennessee rafting trips include an experienced guide to keep your adventure safe and enjoyable. We recommend that you bring a bottle of water and and light snack for the hike. Meet your guide at the outpost at 8:00 AM to start your day.

Float and Raft River Combo Trip
Spend a full day on the river with us! Warm up with a scenic float down the Lower section of the Pigeon River, soaking in the sights of the river gorge and experiencing Class I - II rapids. End the 5.5 mile trip down the Lower Section with a peak at what's to come when you charge through Maytag, your first Class III of the day. After a quick break, load up for your shuttle to the Put-In for the Upper Section of the Pigeon River, where you'll experience 6.5 miles of non-stop action on Class III and IV rapids.

Raft and Kayak River Combo
Spend a full day on the river rafting the Upper Pigeon River and then paddling your own inflatable kayak on the Lower Pigeon River. Your day starts with a shuttle to the put-in for an action-packed guided whitewater rafting trip on the Upper section through Class III and IV rapids. After 6.5 miles you arrive back at our Riverside Outpost, where you'll take a break and get ready for the second part of your river day. You'll be introduced to your group guide and provided with your own inflatable kayak for a more personal experience. While you will be paddling your own boat, a group guide will accompany you down the river, showing you how to surf, slide, and play on Class I and II rapids You must be able to swim and be moderately fit to paddle your own kayak. Minimum age for solo kayak - 12 years. Minimum age for tandum kayak is 10 accompanied by an adult.

Unlimited Rafting Pass
Raft as much as you want during the 2013 rafting season. Unlimiteed Pass includes the river section of your choice (Big Pigeon River or Lower Pigeon Trip) during the applicable rafting season.
Reservations with a credit card are required for each trip. A $20 per person fee will be aplied to no shows. Unlimited passes are not transferable. You will be asked for a photo ID at check-in and charged a $2 County Access fee per trip.
